Secretary’s Report for Meeting on August 2, 2011

 

 

Called to order.

Pledge of Allegiance.

Secretary’s report and Treasurer’s report given:

             Motion to accept by Roy Hoiland  & seconded by Brett Peterson                            .

 

Old Business

            Talked about the progress of the ‘outhouse’ project in the Chengwatana Forest. Project complete and paperwork submitted for Grant-in-Aid reimbursement.

            If you can ride in the Pine County (Pine City) parade on Saturday, Aug 6, arrive at unit number 61 by 3:45pm.

                           Motion to accept by Roy Hoiland  & seconded by  Brett Peterson.             

 

New Business

            Wings North closed until August 25.

            Question as to whether or not clean-up can be done on the forest trails that were damaged by July storms. Suggestion was to have a group inspect the trails and report back on condition of each and/or defer to the DNR for direction.

            Discussion on how to re-vitalize the club membership. Rides, incentives, change of leadership? Possibly reduce the work emphasis and move for more riding events was also discussed to enhance participation in the club.

            Reinstate monthly drawings for members present at meeting and bonus for bringing a new member.

Upcoming dates and rides were set.

Ride in Willow River set for September 24 at 10am. Meet at the Squirrel Cage parking lot.
